Let, after x years Mr. Rahman will be 4 times as old as his son.
So,
4(4 + x) = 28 + x
or, 16 + 4x = 28 + X
or, 4x - x = 28 - 16
or, 3x = 12
or, x = 4
Therefore, after 4 years Mr. Rahman will be 4 times as old as his son and that is answer option (d).
